6 Days Amazing Kenya Safari

6 Days 5 Nights

Overview

Amboseli National Park, located in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border, is famed for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Spanning approximately 392 square kilometers, the park is dominated by open plains, swamps, and acacia woodland. It is especially renowned for its large population of African elephants, many of which have impressive tusks. Amboseli is a prime location for wildlife photography, as animals often roam against the dramatic backdrop of snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Other wildlife includes lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, and numerous bird species. The park’s swamps, fed by underground rivers from Kilimanjaro, attract animals during the dry season, making it a reliable year-round destination for game viewing.

Lake Nakuru National Park, situated in central Kenya within the Great Rift Valley, is best known for Lake Nakuru, a shallow soda lake that attracts thousands of flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds. The park, covering around 188 square kilometers, was initially established as a bird sanctuary but has grown into a full-fledged national park with diverse wildlife. It is a sanctuary for both black and white rhinoceroses, making it one of the best places in Kenya to see these endangered species. Other wildlife includes lions, leopards, giraffes, and waterbucks. The park’s varied ecosystems—ranging from lake shores and grasslands to cliffs and forests—offer a rich and scenic safari experience.

Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s most famous and arguably most spectacular safari destination. Located in the southwest near the Tanzanian border, it forms the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. Covering over 1,500 square kilometers, it is best known for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross into the Mara from the Serengeti between July and October. This event is one of the most awe-inspiring wildlife spectacles on Earth. The Masai Mara is also home to all members of the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino), and its high density of predators—especially lions—makes it a favorite for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. The reserve is also a cultural hub for the Maasai people, who live in the surrounding areas.
